Artist Statement

My work reflects my curiosity about how people operate and what they think of their own lives. I’m drawn to partnerships and family systems under pressure, specifically the tension between loyalty to others and loyalty to the self.

Place is used almost as another character in the story. I choose the setting deliberately and make a point to show why place matters and how it can act as a force upon the characters, and therefore the story.
