Synopsis

Mother-daughter duo Carol and Georgia navigate single parenthood, pregnancy, and prenatal care while fumbling through relationships. Knox, Carol's longtime boyfriend, comes and goes with his two dogs; however, Carol’s heart is set on a parenting do-over and lasting connection with Georgia. Georgia longs for the father of her baby, the unseen artist Owen, but he delays commitment. Cristina, Georgia's poor and lonely best friend, wants love and family and believes a baby would fulfill that only to discover herself used, infertile, and unloved. Knox decides to move on from Carol, as does Georgia. The mother-daughter duo becomes Carol solo who loses her do-over and hope. Unmet expectations only bring about greater longing.
